Joc Pederson hit two home runs to give him five on the spring as the Chicago Cubs earned an 8-6 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday at Scottsdale, Ariz.
A free-agent addition in the offseason, Pederson is now batting .529 this spring with a whopping 2.071 OPS. Javier Baez also hit a home run for the Cubs.
Dom Nunez had a home run for the Rockies, while Josh Fuentes had three hits, including his third double of the spring.

Will Craig hit a home run in a two-run seventh inning as Pittsburgh went ahead and earned the victory over Baltimore at Bradenton, Fla. Ryan Mountcastle drove in two runs for the Orioles.
Red Sox 5, Twins 4
Marwin Gonzalez hit two home runs, including a three-run shot in a four-run fifth inning, and Boston held on for the victory over Minnesota at Fort Myers, Fla. Alex Kirilloff and Drew Maggi hit home runs for the Twins.

Kyle Wright pitched four scoreless innings, while Ronald Acuna Jr. and Michael Harris hit home runs as Atlanta defeated Tampa Bay at North Port, Fla. Tyler Glasnow pitched four scoreless innings for the Rays.

Sandy Alcantara went 3 1/3 scoreless innings and Monte Harrison hit a home run as the Miami played even with Washington at Jupiter, Fla. Patrick Corbin pitched three scoreless innings for the Nationals.
Yankees 6, Phillies 1
Gerrit Cole gave up one run over three innings and Aaron Hicks had a home run and a double as New York topped Philadelphia at Clearwater, Fla. Andrew McCutchen had two hits and an RBI for the Phillies.
Blue Jays 10, Tigers 6 (7 innings)
George Springer hit his first home run in a Toronto uniform and the Blue Jays poured on the offense in defeating Detroit at Dunedin, Fla. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Alejandro Kirk and Randal Grichuk also went deep for Toronto.

Seth Brown hit a home run and Jesus Luzardo went four hitless innings as Oakland held Texas to a lone single in a victory at Surprise, Ariz. Taylor Hearn went 2 1/3 scoreless innings for the Rangers.

Jorge Mateo’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning gave San Diego the victory over Cleveland at Peoria, Ariz. Wil Myers and Eric Hosmer hit home runs for the Padres. Shane Bieber gave up one run over three innings for the Indians.
Angels 5, Giants 4 (7 innings)
Mike Trout hit his first home run of the spring and Dexter Fowler also went deep as Los Angeles earned the victory over San Francisco at Tempe, Ariz. Will Wilson had a three-run double for the Giants.
Royals 4, Brewers 2 (7 innings)
Salvador Perez hit a two-run home run as Kansas City scored all of its runs in the opening three innings and defeated Milwaukee at Phoenix. Manny Pina hit a home run for the Brewers.
Mets 1, Astros 0
Pete Alonso’s sixth-inning homer accounted for the game’s only run as New York defeated Houston in West Palm Beach, Fla. Mets starter Jacob deGrom (seven strikeouts) and Astros starter Zack Greinke (four strikeouts) each threw scoreless innings.
Mariners 4, Dodgers 4 (7 innings)
Jake Fraley’s three-run homer helped Seattle emerge with a tie against Los Angeles in Phoenix. Corey Seager hit a two-run shot for the Dodgers.
Reds 7, White Sox 4
Third-inning home runs from Nick Castellanos and Mike Moustakas powered Cincinnati to a victory over Chicago in Goodyear, Ariz. White Sox starter Reynaldo Lopez was tagged for five runs on six hits in three innings.
